Is Fino accurate?

Fino reads label text and compares it to your saved profile. It's a helper, not a replacement for reading the label. OCR can misread small print, glare, or stylised packaging. Treat every result as a starting point.

Does it work with restaurant menus?

Yes. Fino recognises German letter codes (A–R) and EU numeric annotations (1–14), as well as ingredient lists printed below dishes. Menus are often incomplete — for severe allergies, always confirm with the restaurant before ordering.

Where does my data live?

Allergy profiles and scan history stay on your phone. When you submit a label for analysis, the text (not the image) is sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, with no training-data reuse. We never sell data and never share it for behavioural advertising.

What languages does it support?

English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch — for both the interface and the AI's responses. The app picks up your iOS language by default, and you can override it in Settings → Language.

Can I share with my family?

Yes. Fino Pro supports up to four family profiles, each with its own allergens, intolerances, and severity settings. You choose which profile a scan applies to before tapping scan.

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Fino Pro → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation stops the next renewal — you'll keep access until the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is it safe for severe allergies?

Fino is informational only. Always read the original package, and consult a medical professional for severe allergies. Never rely on Fino alone — verify with the manufacturer or restaurant when the stakes are high.

Your data rights

Under GDPR (and equivalent state laws in the US) you can request data export, account deletion, consent withdrawal, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. The fastest path is in-app: Settings → Data & privacy. If you can't open the app, email privacy@finoapp.co or use the form at /delete-account.
